On April 23rd, Prof. Cai Lidong, Vice President of Jilin University, met with Mr. Ning Fukui, BOD Member of China Foundation for International Studies. Representatives from the Office of Humanities & Social Sciences Research, the Office of Global Engagement, and the College ofNortheast Asian Studiesattended the meeting.
Cai Lidong extended a warm welcome to Ning Fukui. He introduced the development of JLU over the recent years, especially briefing on JLU’s traditional advantages and research progress in Northeast Asian studies. Through the cooperation with Mr. Ning, faculty members and students will benefit a lot from his rich diplomatic experiences over the years.
Ning Fukuiexpressed his appreciation of the warm reception from JLU, along with his recognition of its efforts in deepening regional cooperation in Northeast Asia. He also expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation with scholars in relevant fields at JLU.
